nicole here, i'm frantically trying to get together some photos to show a wedding photographer (blah, yeah i know) that is looking for an assistant. do you see how desperate i'm getting? anyway, i'm starting to realize that i've got a ton of photos that are, at best mediocre. the only photos i really like are my fine art photos. all the commercial and documentary shit i did for school wasn't too exciting. there are a few that i'm proud of but nothing i can really call a body of work. unfortunately i don't think my anna gaskell-esque holga photos will really impress a wedding photographer. oh well...we'll see.
here's something i shot in 2000(??) at sunrise at laguna beach. (junko--this is supposed to make you nostalgic and want to come back!)
hey, did i ever mention that we're looking for a new place? already! this place absolutely sucks so today i drove around ocean beach a bit and found a really nice apartment community over there. i know apartment communities are kind of lame but honestly, it's hard to find a nice, small, privately owned place that offers PARKING. yes, parking is a big deal. driving around for a half hour looking for parking is not cool.
annette, how was the FIDM thing today? details, girl!

oh,,, senk you my frendo, I felt much better after I read it... I will keep reading it over and over again to get me confident.
Aweee, I get to meet new people... and sometimes those people end up giving me so much stress. but I do got some good friends, here in tokyo, though! I wish we all hachee girl can hang out in Vegas.
by the way, some people here in tokyo, they are afraid of huge earthquake to come... media told us that huge one might come soon,,, I wasn;t taking it for serious but my friend who I had dinner last night was so serious about it, it got me nervous... So pay attention to world news, frendo,,, I hope I will survive the earthquake and be a refugee to the US. Oh, I had the best cream brewree? cream brewlee ? it was super good.

mama chan, came to Tokyo and she bought me tsumori chisato shoes, the turquoise one. and... anna sui purse, the one we saw at train station... but lillte different shape... I feel so guilty but I am so happy... but so sad, chisato shoes was too tight,,, so I brought back to the shoes place and now they are trying to make it wider and it will takes 2 weeks. I will update pictures later neecole!

yesterday, I wasn't feeling good so I took pill and felt better,,, maybe I am being too lazy, that's why... so I went oujt to take pee hole pictures and try to explore my neighborhood... some places was beautiful, just because it was after he raining and everthing was kinda wet and dump but nicely toned... and i got bitten by mosquitos... crazy, a few of them were biting me at the same time... At night, I went out with my neighbors in this apartment, it was cool, I got to know my neighbors... Today I hang out with the girl who used be at OC. It was fun. Tomorrow I am also gonna see other girl who used to be at OC, too. I am so ecited!! my life, nothisng is so that muxh eciting but it is fun. oh, now days I am reading novels, since I don;t have TV. be proud of jko. I updated cuz I was super bored.

first off let me start by saying that you guys seriously need to update! how can i live vicariously through you if i don't know about all your crazy and exciting lives?!
well as for me, i'm here in san diego trying to adjust to 'city life' and apartment life. it's been pretty nice overall though san diego has nothing on LA. i think i just need to do some more exploring and get more accustomed to the area. i miss my friends :(
so far i've been here 3 days and have done nothing but shop. which is completely fine by me but with no job and limited funds it's kind of tricky. believe me, the kind of stuff i've been buying isn't all that exciting, just necessities. yesterday my big purchases were a vaccum and a coffee maker! woohoo! the place is pretty plain right now but i'm hoping i will have some money left over after we buy all the essentials to work on decorating. that's one point of contention that ardie and i have. he's really into the simple/modern look and i guess i have a more eclectic style. the couch is the biggest problem right now. he wants this one at ikea and i think it's great but it's so fucking uncomfortable to sit in! unfortunately all the couches i like are way more expensive so i think he might win this one.
i will post pictures as soon as we get completely unpacked.

no interesting photos yet though. obviously that doesn't stop me from posting uninteresting photos.
my bedroom --so that i can remember it when i move.
no job leads yet. though ardie did grab me a job application for urban outfitters. on it they ask questions like 'what are the last cds you bought?' and 'what magazines do you read?'. weird. i really am not hip enough to work there but i guess it doesn't hurt to try since i don't seem to be qualified for much else. will someone please remind me why i decided to get a photo degree?

Japon, me and my friend found costume sticker picture. we can check out some custume and take sticker picture... We went crazy...
I was a flight attendant, snow white and also, tried nurse and aladdin.also, me and my friend went to hot spring. This hot spring, we could chartered(?) or reserved outside hot spring just for me and my friend... so we partied in naked for 90 min. We went to 2 different hot spring in one day.... So hot, so good. we are planning to go next weekend too.

a couple of weekends ago i photographed ardie's little sister. it was mostly to test out my lights some more. here's a couple of photos for your viewing pleasure:
i really need to start taking this more seriously. my portfolio is pretty pathetic right now. i keep taking 'practice' photos and never any serious photos. maybe i should just be a wedding photographer.
